Description

Day 01 – Arrival in Madeira Island – EAST COAST (+/- 10 kms) Arrival at the airport and pick up the car. Continue your journey to your accommodation on the east coast, starting point for the first night, check-in starting at 3:00 pm. Assistance with information to explain the program +/- 45min at a time to be agreed (6:00 pm / 7:00 pm / 9:00 am or 10:00 am the next day). Free time and overnight stay.

Day 02 – EAST COAST (+/- 100kms) – After breakfast, time to explore the East Coast, with the municipalities of Machico, Santa Cruz & Santana. Santa Cruz by the coast, Santo da Serra with its golf course, Pico do Areeiro at over 1800m, Ribeiro Frio with the Balcões viewpoint, Faial with the Guindaste viewpoint, Porto da Cruz with its sugar mill, Caniçal with Ponta de São Lourenço or even Machico, the island’s first capital, there are many places to enjoy the eastern coast of Madeira. In the late afternoon, return to the accommodation and overnught stay.

Day 03 – EAST COAST > NORTH (+/- 50kms) – After breakfast, check-out and departure to the North Coast, with the municipalities of Santana & São Vicente. Santana with its traditional Madeiran houses and the Caldeirão Verde levada, São Jorge with its ruins along the coast and the Levada do Rei, Arco de São Jorge with its viewpoint over the North Coast, Ponta Delgada and its swimming pools, and finally, São Vicente. Check-in from 3pm, free time and overnight stay at the accommodation.

Day 04 – NORTH COAST (+/- 50kms) After breakfast, time to explore the North Coast, with the municipalities of Porto Moniz & São Vicente. Porto Moniz along the coast with its natural pools and the Ribeira da Janela levada, Seixal with its beach & the Véu da Noiva waterfall, Chão da Ribeira with its green valley, and finally São Vicente, with the promenade, its cultivated valley and the town center. In the late afternoon, return to the accommodation and overnight stay.

Day 05 – NORTH COAST > SOUTH COAST (+/- 90kms) After breakfast, check-out and departure to the South Coast, with the municipalities of Calheta, Ponta do Sol & Ribeira Brava. Encumeada, where you can see the north coast and the south coast, Serra de Água known for its Poncha, Ribeira Brava for its pedestrian streets, Ponta do Pargo for being the westernmost point of Madeira, Paul & Jardim do Mar for its streets in the village center, Calheta for its beach and finally, Ponta do Sol for the beach and pedestrian village center. Check-in from 3pm, free time and overnight stay at the accommodation.

Day 06 – SOUTH COAST > FUNCHAL (+/- 50kms) After breakfast, check-out and departure to Funchal, with the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos & Funchal. Faja dos Padres with access via cable car, a cultivated area between the ocean and the cliffs, Cabo Girão with its viewpoint above the ocean, Jardim da Serra with the Boca da Corrida viewpoint, Câmara de Lobos with its fishing port, and finally, the Lido area with the monumental road, its accommodation, shops and promenade. Check-in from 3pm. 20/25min assistance to see how the holidays are going (6pm / 6:30pm / 7pm). Free time and overnight stay at the accommodation.

Day 07 – FUNCHAL (+/- 5kms) After breakfast, we suggest you visit Funchal on foot, with the Santa Catarina Park, the Maritime Port, Avenida do Mar, the São Tiago Fort next to the Ocean, Santa Maria Street with its shops and painted doors, the Mercado dos Lavradores, the Praça do Município and Avenida Arriaga, the main points in the center of Funchal. In the late afternoon, return to the accommodation and overnight stay.

Day 08 – FUNCHAL – Departure (+/- 25kms) Breakfast and check-out until 11am. Departure to the airport. Car delivery at a time to be arranged at the airport and boarding.

RENT-A-CAR

EXCLUDE: 1. Fuel, fines, tolls, parking / 2. Damage caused to third parties or to the rental vehicle due to negligence or improper driving / 3. Loss of or damage to aerials, jacks, safety triangles and vests, windscreen wipers, petrol caps, luggage covers or any other fixed or mobile component of the vehicle / 4. Damage to the engine due to negligence / 5. Theft of the vehicle with the keys left in the ignition / 6. Damage caused to the vehicle or to persons due to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs / 7. Fines due to violation of traffic laws and regulations during the rental period are the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle. In the event of a fine being received, an administrative fee will be charged / 8. If the car is left outside the area designated by Rent a Car at the time of delivery, travelers will be responsible for any costs generated and for any damage to the vehicle due to it being parked outside the Rent a Car premises / 9. Each additional driver / 10. Any extra equipment (GPS, baby seat, etc.)

– Driver age from 26 to 75 years old (must have held a driver’s license for at least one year)
– Collection hours are from Monday to Sunday, from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. If the withdrawal is made outside of business hours, an additional fee will be charged.
– Drivers who are not citizens of the European Union must present an international driving license along with the original from their country of origin.
– If the traveller returns the vehicle before the return date agreed in the rental agreement, the rental company will not reimburse the customer for any unused days
– Deposit by Visa or MasterCard credit card only
– Reporting of accident/theft must be made within 48 hours of the incident
– In cases where, after the return of the vehicle, additional cleaning is required due to the vehicle being dirty beyond the expected level of normal use, an additional fee will be applied, upon proof of the cost of the service provided
